It’s been a long time since I’ve cooked a meal at home. Been trying to figure out exactly why I stopped cooking lately. I initially that it was because it’s become so hot these days that I just want to stay out of the kitchen. That probably still holds true, but after a visit to LA a few weeks ago I think I found another reason – it’s because I don’t have cable TV anymore! I was watching Food Network while vegging out on my parents’ couch and it made me want to take notes to remember to try making this and that recipe when I got back home. Then I realized that I haven’t been inspired like that in a long time!
So as we near the end of August, I finally made a meal at home. I think it’s been over 2 months. OK, so I’m actually cheating because this food was already partially prepared by my mom and I only add to add one or two more ingredients to complete it. Still, it’s a step in the right direction!
Galbi. A bit dry since it was already cooked, but still satisfying. Wrapped these in lettuce & ssamjang.
